Using a leaf spring in a truck is a much more cost effective and economical alternative to spring absorbers. Due to the size of the load they typically carry LCVs and HGVs usually need the springs replacing more often.
Maintaining and replacing your leaf springs is important however there comes a time when they’ll simply need replacing. Vehicles that use spring absorbers and become worn, will require replacement which is much more costly than using leaf springs. Smaller vehicles using absorbers are much easier and cheaper to replace but replacing absorbers in a truck will be costly. Replacing a leaf spring for a truck that uses springs is a much more cost effective option.
