I’ve owned a number of watch winders of varying brands and sizes. While $600+ isn’t cheap, I’m relation to the competition ($1k+) it’s a good savings for larger winders.
Short version - I would potentially buy again, and I would recommend if you need a larger winder on a budget…just don’t expect the same quality.
The good - Relatively cost effective if you need a larger winder. Mine has ran without issues for almost a year now. It’s aesthetically pleasing and very quiet even with my 9 of my 12 slots winding at the same time. The design is clean and modern, and each slot can be programmed to their needs unlike some others that are the same settings for all.
The bad - The slot design is the dumbest version I’ve ever seen. No matter how careful you may be, at some point you’re going to have a watch fall out of its slot. The single fitted slot design in every other winder is 10x better than whatever feature design they think was an improvement, because there’s 10 micro positions and they struggle to lock into place. Its only really a concern with heavier watches though, so just be mindful of the issue and make sure it locks into place before closing. Also, this is just a personal presence but I think the logo design and placement takes away from the aesthetic.
I think 3 stars would be an overly critical rating, but I definitely wouldn’t rate it 5 stars.
3/14 Update: one of the winding slots have completely separated from whatever they were attached to and now just slides right out. I believe I’m technically 2-3 months outside of warranty but a lowering to 3 stars because it’s only been 14 months.
3/24 Update: Customer service responded to my message and provided instructions to reattached the winding cup. They’re small screws and it appears it just came loose after a year of usage. Took 2 mins to fix and am relieved it wasn’t actually broken. Updated review to 4 stars.
