My husband, like another reviewer, is a HAM operator and this hobby seems to require a lot of space for his ever-growing acquisition of yet more radio/lab stuff. He also collects, of all things, Commodore computers; they're not tiny. So space in his man cave/lab is a commodity.
We were VERY pleased with the high quality vs low price of this spacious table. We ordered a lot of other office/lab storage-related items along with this table and they all had a manufacturing defect or packaging issue of some kind. But not this! It was pristine out of the box, secure in both the folded and upright position (VERY sturdy) and the dimensions were 100% accurate as listed. No unwanted surprises=satisfied consumer.
The legs are sturdy and well coated. On our ancient and not particularly taut carpet, this stands securely and solid. In hubby's tight work space, if we knock it, we don't fear the table or its contents will go tumbling. Additionally, the support beams don't interfere with leg room on all sides like some similar tables.
The extremely thick tabletop is matte with a very slightly textured finish; it's not slick coated so that your items (or a table cloth) go sliding right off. I also appreciate that it doesn't have a cheesy fake marbling pattern like the folding tables of my childhood.
We have another similar utility table, by a different manufacturer, in the same room as this model. The difference is like night and day--one feels flimsy and disposable, this one built to last. I'd say the only drawback is that it might be difficult for a single individual to frequently transport it as it's so solid & heavy. It's huge!
We love that this brand offers the same table in a variety of dimensions; we'll be back for more because it always seems one is needed for yard sales, swap meets, fairs, pet adoption, additional seating, etc. Just slide under the bed or stick in the garage and you're good to go.
