Faucet plating is a surface treatment process mainly used to improve the aesthetics and durability of faucets. The plating process usually includes the following steps:
Cleaning: First, the faucet needs to be thoroughly cleaned to remove any oil, dirt or impurities.
Pretreatment: After cleaning, the faucet is immersed in a chemical solution to promote adhesion of the plating layer.
Electroplating: In electroplating, the faucet is used as the cathode and the metal salt solution is used as the electrolyte to deposit metal ions on the surface of the faucet through an electric current to form a metal plating layer. Common plating materials include chrome, nickel, copper, etc.
