All what I can say that you need to use additives wisely without overacting otherwise it could deteriorate the entire mud system and result more down hole problems such as hole instability. Someday, we faced hole instability problem and we overacted by increasing the mud weight too much which ended with inducing fractures and lost the entire hole section.
