I have had Janomes and Brothers. Brothers are my favorites. I owned a Brother 420PC several years ago (sold it for a Janome). I now have a Brother Laura Ashley 660 (no longer made but look at the NQ575 which is the newer model) and an NQ900. Both can do thin fabric, thick fabric etc. It doesn't matter and they both sew sideways-lol yes sideways. https://www.brother-usa.com/products/nq575prw I always thought my Janomes were quiet until I got the Brothers. The NQ900 is nearly silent; all I can hear is the needle and the feed dogs as they move the fabric.
I don't know why you say you need a good quality understitch-a machine should have nearly an identical stitch on top and bottom as I can't tell the difference on my machines Janomes or Brothers. If you want to stick with Janome check out the Skylines. People are giving them good reviews. Is there something wrong with your Magnolia?

What is Textile Weaving Machine?

A textile weaving machine is a machine that is used to create fabric by interlacing two sets of threads together: the warp threads (lengthwise threads) and the weft threads (crosswise threads).

The process of weaving involves passing the weft thread through the warp threads to create a fabric. There are several different types of weaving machines, each of which is suited for different types of fabrics and production rates.

The most common types of textile weaving machines include:

Shuttle weaving machine: These are the oldest type of weaving machine and use a shuttle to carry the weft thread across the width of the loom.

Rapier textile machine: Rapier weaving machine uses a rapier (a long, thin rod) to carry the weft thread across the loom.

Air-jet looms: It use high-speed jets of air to propel the weft thread across the loom.

Water-jet looms: It use high-pressure jets of water to interlace the warp and weft threads together.

Bullet looms: The driving method for Bullet looms is designed to operate at a high rate of speed while preserving a slick, affordable transmission.

Many different types of fabrics, including cotton, silk, wool, and synthetic fabrics, can be created by textile loom machines. Over time, technological advancements have increased the speed, effectiveness, and productivity of the machines. Thus, it&#;s important to choose the right type of weaving machine for your specific needs.
